Vintage "Montblanc Carrera" Fountain Pen-Matt Black & Yellow-Germany 1970s. The Montblanc Carrera line, introduced in the 1970s as a successor to the Monte Rosa Series, marked a significant departure in design and materials. This innovative model featured variations in both matte black/yellow plastic and matte black with brushed steel accents.

The distinct clip, adorned with six holes, seemed to pay homage to the iconic 6-cylinder engine and 6-speed gearbox of the Porsche Carrera. Notably, the Carrera line marked a milestone in German craftsmanship by introducing a cutting-edge black chrome plating process on the cap, a first for the country. Plastic barrel with chrome plated cap.

Cap top & barrel end. I reckon the nib size is extra fine to fine. Nib sort: firm; the last photo is a writing sample. Technical condition: the cartridge-filling mechanism is in good working order. Optical condition: shows some traces of wear.

Comes with a Ferris Wheel Press "Jelly Bean Blue" ink sample. Also included: a new old stock, unbranded converter.
